About Us
At Kenisha Coon Consulting, the way we lead, innovate, and drive change has evolved—so, let me ask you this: Have you?
All organizations struggle—from child welfare to corporate, government, and tech spaces—to turn DEI from a buzzword into real, systemic change. Policies fall short. Leadership lacks representation. And too often, the communities most impacted are left out of the conversation.
But here’s the truth: Lived experience matters. Overcoming generational trauma, systemic barriers, and inequitable policies isn’t just theory—it’s my reality. And that’s why I do this work.
Now, let’s pause for a moment.
Data tells us what’s broken—lived experience tells us how to fix it. Women and BIPOC professionals are ready to lead, but systemic barriers persist. Tech, corporate, and government sectors struggle to embed equity into real, measurable action. Every policy decision shapes people’s lives—but is leadership equipped to make them equitable?
That ends here, with us, right now.
What I Do
I equip leaders at every level—CEOs, C-suite executives, policymakers, and community advocates—to lead through an equity lens. I empower women, BIPOC professionals, and allies to break systemic barriers and step into their influence. I help organizations—from tech to child welfare—root their work in data, research, and lived experience to drive real impact.
Why Me?
I’ve been on the front-facing part of the work, working directly with families, from the local to the federal level. I’ve shaped policy, led systemic overhauls, and worked with organizations like AdoptUSKids, Families Rising, and the Minority Professional Leadership Development program.
From child welfare reform to equitable tech solutions, I understand how systems operate—and how to change them.
My Approach
It’s not about quick fixes. Rooting change in systems-level strategy, policy shifts, and equity-driven decision-making is the only way forward. My Equity & Systems Change Framework provides the roadmap for organizations that are ready to embed sustainable change at every level.
So let’s get real: You’re not here to check a DEI box—you’re here to build something that lasts. Systemic transformation requires strategy, courage, and action, whether you’re leading in tech, government, or child welfare.
